Port Blair (Sri Vijayapuram) is the entry point, connected by air to mainland India. Direct flights operate year-round from Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Visakhapatnam. Seasonal flights are available from Delhi and Mumbai, while other cities connect via one-stop options.
October to May is the most popular season due to dry weather and regular ferry operations. However, off-season travel (June to September) is gaining popularity among value-seeking guests. The destination is open year-round, with monsoon-specific routing and backup planning.
Indian nationals do not require a passport or visa. A government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or PAN) is enough. Permits for activities like scuba diving or protected areas can be arranged locally if required.
High-speed luxury catamarans are operated by private companies, offering reserved seating and fixed timings. The Andaman & Nicobar Administration runs AC government ferries as well. All ferry services are subject to weather and seasonal availability.

Wheelchair-friendly transfers, ferry boarding help, multilingual escorts, and logistical coordination for senior citizen groups, students, or high-end travellers can be arranged with prior notice.
Mobile networks are stable in Port Blair and partially reliable in Havelock. Other areas such as Neil or Diglipur may have weak signals. Internet speeds vary; offline coordination is often preferred during movements.
